I assess your locks

I rekey and cut new keys
I reset the pins inside each cylinder to a new combination and cut you a fresh set of keys on the spot. I can key several doors alike so one key opens them all, if that's what you'd prefer.
We test every door together

What's the difference between rekeying and changing the lock?
Rekeying keeps your existing lock and resets it internally so it works with a new key — the old keys stop working. Changing the lock means fitting brand-new hardware. Rekeying is the cheaper, faster choice when your locks are in good condition and you simply want the old keys retired. I'll tell you honestly which one your door actually needs.
Will my old keys definitely stop working?
Yes. Once a cylinder is rekeyed to a new combination, every previous key for that lock is dead — no exceptions. That's the whole point, and it's why rekeying is the first thing I suggest after moving in or losing a set.
Can you key all my doors to one key?
In most cases, yes. If your locks are compatible I can key them alike so a single key opens your front, back and side doors. It's a small thing that makes daily life a lot easier, and we can decide on the day which doors to include.
How much does rekeying cost?
There is no call-out fee, and the quote is free. Rekeying is almost always cheaper than replacing locks — the final price depends on how many locks you have and their type. I will give you a clear, fixed price on-site before I start any work, so there are no surprises.
