Should I change the locks or just rekey them?
Both make your old keys useless. A rekey keeps your existing locks but changes the internal pins, so it's often the cheaper, faster choice when your hardware is in good shape — common after a move or a lost key. A full lock change makes sense when the locks are worn, damaged, low-security, or you want to upgrade to better hardware. I'll look at your doors and tell you honestly which one you actually need.
