I'm locked out right now — how fast can you get to me?

Call me on 0430 604 036 and I'm on my way. I'm based in Neutral Bay, so most of the Lower North Shore — Mosman, Cremorne, Cammeray, North Sydney, Kirribilli — is only minutes away. I won't give you an invented "15-minute guarantee" the way the city-wide call centres do; what I will do is pick up, tell you honestly how long I'll be, and turn up when I say. That's how I've earned 200+ five-star reviews from neighbours.

Are you really available 24/7, or is that just a tagline?

Genuinely 24/7. Locks don't wait for business hours, and neither do I. If you're standing outside your door at 2am, ring 0430 604 036 and you'll reach me — not an overseas answering service that dispatches whoever's cheapest. Late-night and public-holiday call-outs are part of the job, and I'd rather you call than spend the night locked out.

Will you have to break or damage my lock to get me in?

Almost never. For the vast majority of lockouts I open the door using non-destructive techniques — picking, bypass tools, the proper way — so your existing lock and door stay intact. If a lock is already broken, jammed or a high-security model that genuinely can't be picked, I'll tell you that before I touch it, explain your options, and let you decide. No surprises, no quietly drilling something that didn't need drilling.

How much will it cost, and will you tell me before you start?

Yes. Quotes are free and there is no call-out fee — I come to you, look at the job, and give you a clear, fixed price before any work begins, so the number never grows once I am at your door. Every situation is a little different, so I quote on-site and you can say yes or no with no pressure. Want a rough idea over the phone first? Just ask.

I've lost my keys — can you help, and is it safe to just cut a new one?

I can help, and there's an important distinction here. If you've simply misplaced a spare and the original is safe at home, I can cut a new key. But if your keys are genuinely lost — dropped somewhere, possibly stolen, or attached to an address — I'd recommend rekeying or changing the lock so whoever finds them can't get in. We'll talk it through and I'll give you my honest recommendation, not the most expensive one.

What's the difference between rekeying and replacing a lock — which do I need?

Rekeying keeps your existing lock hardware but changes the internal pins so old keys no longer work and you get new ones. It's quicker and usually cheaper, and it's the right call when the lock itself is in good shape — after losing keys, a tenant moving out, or a break-up. Replacing the whole lock makes sense when the hardware is worn, damaged, or you want to upgrade security. I'll look at what you've got and tell you which one actually serves you.

Can you install or fix smart locks and keyless entry?

Yes. I install and service smart locks, keypad and keyless entry, and smart-access setups for homes and businesses. I'll help you choose hardware that suits your door and your life rather than the flashiest box on the shelf, set it up properly, and show you how it works. If a smart lock is playing up or you've been locked out by a flat battery or a glitch, I can sort that too.

Do you do strata, apartment and commercial work?

Regularly. A good part of my work comes from strata managers, building managers and apartment receptionists across the Lower North Shore who refer jobs and call me back because I turn up and do it right. I handle common-area locks, mailbox keys, restricted and master-key systems, lock changes for shops and offices, and after-hours commercial lockouts. Licensed, insured and used to working around tenants, residents and building schedules.

Which suburbs do you cover?

The Lower North Shore is home turf: Neutral Bay, Mosman, Cremorne, Cammeray, North Sydney, Kirribilli, Crows Nest, Wollstonecraft, Waverton, Milsons Point, Lane Cove and Chatswood. I'm a local who knows these streets and buildings, not a city-wide operator driving across the bridge. If you're nearby but not on that list, call 0430 604 036 and ask — I'll tell you straight whether I'm the right person for the job.

Are you licensed, and how do I pay?

I hold a NSW Master Security Licence (000111072) — you're welcome to check it, and I'd encourage it; anyone working on your locks should be licensed. On payment, I keep it easy and let you settle on the spot once the job's done. Card, EFTPOS, bank transfer and cash are all welcome. If you need an invoice for strata or commercial work, just let me know and I'll organise it.
